Title: Baby Jessica has arrived!!
We have a new addition! Jessica LyAnne Melody Alford was born on 7/13/11 (my birthday) at 7:03 am We are home and doing well and I wanted to say thank you to all of my customers and friends.
Orders are being processed now, and for those whom have asked, we are registered at Baby's R Us under Alford in New River Az.
I will be offering several sales in the upcoming weeks so keep a look out!

I have made several trips to the hospital and they are starting steroids to help her the best they can if she gets here early. All three of my other little ones were at 34 weeks so we are thinking she will be about the same. Trying to prolong it but it is hard to go on bed rest with a business to run and three little ones on Summer Vacation!
I appreciate all the well wishes and I am still working on orders. There may be a small delay in them so if you need something by a certain date please email me. I can also ship partial orders at no additional charge to get your item to you on time.

Title: Day at the State Fair
I got to showcase my caps at a 1 day event at the State Fair!
It was a great time & I took my mom to help me. So glad I did - Not only did I need the help, but it was fun spending some time with her. She already said she would help me next year as well! Bottlecaps got great reviews and I had something for everyone. I hated to leave but stayed from 8am to 10:30 pm. It was a long day for us both and at the end we were VERY Tired!

Well I Love my Custom Bottlecaps!
I have been very busy for the last few months with my orders as well as my expanding Bottlecap sales - Which I am very greatful for. I have over 4500 premade caps that I bring to my craft shows and also take custom orders.
I hand make all my caps myself starting from buying the caps from our local home brew company or recycling used caps to smashing and creating then making them waterproof and heat resistant. Sure I could take the quick and easy route and use what are called Resin Drops or "Pop Tops", but I do not mind the 3 day process I use to make my waterproof caps.
I can be found doing my craft shows almost every weekend. I hope that you will take a look at my calendar and come vistit me and take a look at my caps in person. You ae sure to find something for everyone on your gift giving list a well as a bunch for yourself!

Title: Hair Pretties are here!!
First off, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spent the day at my parents home. So conveinently located right across the road :)
We ate lots of Turkey and enjoyed the great weather!
A couple days before I wanted to add something new to my custom items.
There are so many cute hair clips around (hair pretties) that I decited to take some of my clip art designs and make some great pretties for everyone!
I have started with my little bird - my daughters favorite - and added a few different wing styles. I then had to make one for the holidays so a little cute gingerbread man was fitting. That little man is my mothers favorite & I made it into a pin for her to wear at work.
I added a couple great Owls. One that has a filled in wing has little hearts for his wing texture and I can make him filled in with your favorite color. Another has a applique look fabric circle tummy. I have a few others and if you are looking for something particular, please let me know!

Title: Happy Mothers Day
Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there!
My gift from my hubby and the kids is a wonderful veggie garden. Wes worked hard all week building my garden. It is 16' x 5' and as soon as the seeds get her we will get started planting.
Being in Az our plant schedule is a bit off so I can only start corn and squash until August - then I can plant the full garden. Yay! So EXCITED! Thank you Hubby!
Going Green - We have been slowly watching our "Green" and do the standard recycle. With my garden we are now starting composting to help as well. Wes was even going to make me a compost bin but after some research I found out that the City Of Phoenix offers used trash bins made to be compost bins. So to save hubby some work on his Hunny Do list I have a bin on it's way!
My parents raise chickens for eggs and we will now get veggies to swap. My dad is even working on solar and experimenting with wind power with his first generator to test the energy.
So do your part for your family and our future and Turn off that extra light, Turn down your water heater, and the TV that just sits on so you can hear it but dont watch it.. go ahead and turn it off & listen to the birds :)

Title: Awh - My poor computer... but a good thing today too :)
Such a sad thing - My computer is no longer in my office and on 24-7 for me to keep an eye on things in the outside world - lol
As it turned out my fan is shot, my heat sinks need to be replaced and my jack plug is shorting and needs to be rewired. So I have parts on order and will hopefully get it back by Wednesday.
After looking I have realized I need/would love a MAC. Maybe for a combo gift of mothers day & my birthday I can talk hubby into getting me a used one :)
Until then I am going through withdrawls not being able to download photos of my new Puppy Wraps pet / dog scarfs. They are a universal style and will slip onto your existing dog collar. Sizes currently are XS(puppy), Small, Med & Large. Availible In single or reversable fabrics.

oops - almost forgot the good news - Hubby traded our tiny car for a mom mobile a mini van. More room for the kids, fold and go back seat and a turnaround tailgate seating so we will be taking the kids to their first drive-in movie in a week or so!!

Title: Computer & New Items
Hello Everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to check my blog. I just wanted to give an update incase a few people have wondered why I have not been shown online for a bit. - I'm HERE :)
I have just been having a few minor computer issues (fan & battery) so until they are completly taken care of I don't want to overwork my computer. Rest assured I am still checking messages 3-5 times a day and still completing all orders on time. This only affects me being avail for chat. Title: New Fabrics 4/1
We have new fabrics added for your custom dog / Pet clothes.
I found a few cool boy prints - favorite this trip was the Pirate Scull! And also a John Deere in a Green Fields pattern. a Spiderman and also a few dots, circles & stripes for boys and girls!
I am going out again on Friday to get some nice summer Hawaiian prints so if there are any requests just drop me a line.

Title: He can walk
Being such a LARGE dog I knew I might have a problem taking our Sunny out for a walk. The people at the pound said that he would not walk on a leash at all. He didn't while we were there :( But hey, we can train an old dog new tricks - can't we??
So we decited a harness would give us more control so off to the store I went :)
Te boys and I picked out a nice bright blue harness and superstrong leash. It took a few minutes to get him to it still but after it was on him he sat nicely.
Wes took him out on his own to see how things would go and about half way down the block he was healing and all!! Whoo hoo!
It just goes to show you that you just don't know in the 5-10 min evaluation how a dog will be at home.
We have also found out that when the boys run out to take out the mail and leave the door open, he stays right by the boys and doesn't take off down the street. After franticly grabbing my shoes and the harness, thinking I would be running all over the block, I saw him right at the driveway with Joey checking the mail.
He is also becoming a good protector - as he saw a person come to the door to put a flyer on it he went right next to the boys by the window and did his very deep Bark! Way different than Trixie and her little high pitched yap she does at the cats walking the fence. I feel very lucky that we found him and he found us.

Title: Happy Anniversary Hubby
Well today was a fun day, we got a new addition to our family!! A beautiful yellow Lab named Sunny.
It all started with hubby taking the boys out to get hair cuts and after they were done he called to let me know that he was going to take them to visit some big dogs at the pound. We have little Trixie but she just not much on playing ball - lol - considering the ball is as big as she is :). So, we have been discussing for a few months about getting a yelow lab and like most we were considering a puppy to "grow" with the family. I had considered an older dog but you are never sure how they would react in a family situation and we wouldn't want anything bad to happen... Well you know, three small kids a small dog, cats and birds - who knows what could happen. So anyway...
Hubby came to pick up myself and Sedona so we could play with the dogs too. We got there and heard two dogs barking up a storm. Hubby was lead to the calling... and it was Sunny. He was talking to everyone as they walked by just wanting to come out and play. But boy did his bark sound tough! So we sat for a few minutes and hubby looked at me and I knew he was in love - :) I went to take the kids to visit other dogs and critters while we waited for a big play area to open up.
I must say I was a bit hesitant. He was very big -larger than most labs I know and a very large block head. I read his profile and like most large dogs they were hesitant about a young family and wanted to make sure of proper introductions were made - good thing we all came. They also said that he was food dominant and were worried about the kids getting in the way of his food - or Trixie. We had ways around the feeding situation so that was not an issue.
We went out to the play area and he was so happy to be out to run - but more happy to play. He ran to the ball and brought it right over to Joey - our 4 yr old - and waited for the throw.
We knew we were off to a great start. We played until they kicked us out of the play area so that other adoptiees could use it. He gave kisses to the boys and one to Sedona. He was happy and hubby was beaming. I knew we had a forever friend.
Well, Our car was certainly not going to hold us all! So after our meeting with the adoption counslor Wes brought the family home and went to get Sunny. He came home and had a quick introduction to Trixie - no barking, no fusing no nothing - whew - glad that was over - no stress. Expecially since Trixie is smaller than his head - lol.
I took the boys out to go get a new bowl, some balls for him & his favorite food. We had to get some treats too. Came home and played ball all night. He wouldn't stop. It was a blast! Finally something to keep up with the boys high energy. He even catches the ball mid air!
Sunday Wes and I had our 6th Wedding Anniversary - Happy Anniversary Sweetie!
Now what can Puppy Wraps make for a big dog? I now have a model and you will be seeing a few new items. A couple bow collars, A bow tie and more cool ties for summer. ow about dog pants? By winter we will work on a new coat and some BIG Blankets!
